We have written about personality an style on multiple occasions featuring amazing designs around the world. Today we are introducing a new talent, a designer who follows not popular trends but uniqueness of one woman at a time. Look for a one-on-one interview with Chavernet Paris in Designers' Lounge:

September 2007, 2 friends made two observations: the mass market is killing the uniqueness of Couture and quality is decreasing more and more.

Something had to be done, Chavernet Paris was born.

Chavernet Paris dress up the modern and elegant woman, manufactures the dresses in Paris, handmade, accompanied with a label containing the workshop exit date and the number of the dress.

The atelier where the dresses are imagined and designed became a real laboratory devoted to create unique dresses for unique people.


Constantly reinterpreting the actual and past influences into a modern and chic trend, Chavernet Paris go against standardization by not working with collections but by living the fashion in an instant, a desire, a humor, various every day and appropriate for each.

At Chavernet there are no collections, no fashion shows, no advertising, no wild marketing, no standardizations. It is just you, unique woman, going to the Atelier where the motto is.... One dress = one woman.

When I first read this introduction, I really loved the concept of approaching a woman's personal style and creating a unique piece of clothing for Her. Hmmm... I saw this approach in the work of one very famous French couturier who has become a legend of fashion. Can you guess who?...

Design as a Lifestyle: Avnah Couture

Preparing for the opening of Designers' Lounge on OlenaInStyle.com (a special section for fashion designers where we will discuss established and new talents as well as the upcoming opportunities or designer contests/shows), we have interviewed Avnah Couture, an Atlanta designer and wardrobe stylist with a creative couture collection that has been featured in a number of magazines and local fashion shows:

Olena: What does design mean to you: work or a lifestyle?
Avnah: For me it is a lifestyle because it's something that I want to do daily and it is a part of my life. I believe work is something you have to do.

Olena: How would you define the style of your clothing?
Avnah: The style of my clothing is Crochet Couture. It is basically your runway attire that is crocheted. The fact that it is crocheted gives it and unique appeal.

Olena: How long have you been designing clothing?
Avnah: I have been designing clothing since 1995 but I got serious about it and exploring different fashions about seven years ago.

Olena: Could you name people you were most proud to work with in your career (honestly)?
Avnah: I have too many people to list but I can honestly say that there isn't a person that I hated working with.

Olena: If you had a chance to create a collection of your dreams, what would it be and how would it look like?
Avnah: If I had a chance to create a collection of my dreams, it would be my own collection that I have now. I watch a lot of designers and they do inspire me creatively but I love my present collection.

Olena: Why are you in fashion design?
Avnah: The first reason is because I love every aspect of the fashion industry form the wardrobe, hair and makeup. Secondly, because I love to make people look and feel beautiful and unique. And also because it is my passion. I wake up and think fashion...I breathe fashion.

Olena: If you had one wish in life to come true, what would it be?
Avnah: To make sure my children stay on the right track, remember how to treat people humanly, remember the morals that I've taught them and live productive lives. My one wish would be for my children.

Olena: Can you give a solid style advice to all the readers in 1 sentence?
Avnah: Whatever dream you have in life-pursue it!
