AXDW is coming to town (Athens, Greece) on November 8-11 at Megaron Ethnikis Asfalistikis, celebrating the
Spring / Summer 09 Fashion Collections. 18 Top Fashion Designers, 8 New Designers, an alternative Fashion Party, a unique Photo Exhibition, 20 Artists in Live Performance, DJ’s, Radio Producers, Live Booths, Competitions, a Bright Celebration of a memoir at the Fashion Industry through Greek Cinema and a Charity SAMSUNG Pink Ribbon Gala will be just some of the “Highlights” of AXDW this year.
This year’s Designers Roaster is:•
Emanuel Ungaro – the legendary “master” of the Haute Couture will present his men collection for Spring / Summer 09 designed by the Head Designer of Ungaro, Mr. Frack Boclet.

Ioannis Guia – The Greek Designer lives and works in Paris and is participating at AXDW for the second time. A piece of his work has been exhibited in Louvre. Ioannis is the writer of the book “The sexual function of the occidental clothing” and he owns a company based in Paris since 1999.

Kost
as Murkudis - The successful designer is of Greek origin and works in Berlin. Kostas Murkudis worked as a Fashion Designer at Helmut Lang team for 7 years. One collection of his previous ones was based on Greek fabrics and at AXDW will present his men / women collections.

Fatima Lopes – The impressive Portuguese Designer is presenting her collections at Paris Fashion Week. Fatima runs her own boutique in Paris. One of the most famous and impressive creations is the Bikini made of gold and diamonds!

Tara Reid – The famous Hollywood actress and best friend of Paris Hilton, comes to Greece for the first time as a Fashion Designer. She presents her first Collection titled “Mantra by Tara” that consists of bathing suites and summer outfits with a special characteristic: the “energy” jewelleries that are accompanying her collection.

Gaspard Yurkievich – The French Designer presents his work in Paris Fashion Week and celebrates his 10 year of professional career in Fashion at AXDW. Gaspard Yurkievich will present to the Athens audience his women and men collection for Spring / Summer 2009. Gaspard has cooperated with important Designers and International Companies as well as with many famous artists.

Charles of London – The Designer “twin” Charles of London, changes every rule of Fashion in London for the last 5 years with his punk and alternative creations! At AXDW they will present their women and men collections.

Elena Antoniades – The Greek-Cypriot Designer is based in London and her clients come from all around the world, from Los Angeles to Dubai and Saint Tropez.

Penelope Zagoras – Penelope has her own Fashion House in Paris and cooperates with Famous International Models. She has collaborated with many well-known Fashion Houses abroad. At AXDW she will present her Haute Couture Collection for Spring / Summer 09.

Fani Xenophontos – The Cypriot Designer is based in London and continues successfully her International career. Fani is now officially part of the Liberty of London and will present at AXDW for the second time.

Notis Panagiotou & Marina Zachou – The dynamic Designer couple of the Cypriot Notis and Greek Marina has created jewels to show at AXDW. They have won awards for their creations in Pan-Hellenic and International Competitions. At their CV there are many worth mentioning collaborations such as this with the National Museum of Contemporary Art.

Vicky Koulianou by Christos B. – The bright ex Top Model has conquered the catwalks of Greek and International Catwalks and since last April relaunched to the Greek audience her new “identity”, that of Fashion Designer. Vicky is presenting her collections for the second time at AXDW.

Katia Delatola – The Greek Designer has already presented her Collection in New York, Paris, Barcelona and London and now comes to the catwalks of AXDW to present for the first time the “Twisted Classics by Katia Delatola” .

Andreas Georgiou – The new and talented Cypriot Designer is last year’s winner at the New Designers Award, as the Best Designer. Andreas will present his Collection this November at the Glasgow Fashion Week in the context of his cooperation with AXDW.

Levinia Konyalian – The superb Armenian-Cypriot Levinia has clients all over the world. This time, she presents her impressive installation at AXDW, themed as “The Femininity of the Woman”.

Angelos Frentzos – A Greek Designer with an International career, lives permanently in Venice, Italy. Angelos presents a unique music&fashion party at the very launch of AXDW together with the DJ’s Amateur Boyz .

Adjei Anang – A Designer that arrives to AXDW and Greece, directly from Ghana. He is the owner of the Haute Couture for men and women and participates in the Singapore Fashion Week.
The 4th AXDW will host once again the Institution of the «New Designers Award». Eight New Designers from Greece, Cyprus, Russia and Iraq will present their new proposals for Spring / Summer 09 aiming to be one of the winners for «Best Designer», «Best Trendsetter» and «Best Catwalk». • The Gala Dinner with the theme “Fashion through Greek Cinema” the profits of which will be donated for the support of the campaign Samsung-Pink Ribbon (against Breast Cancer)
AXDW is the only International Fashion Week in Greece that dares to open up in innovation! The concept is that Greek Fashion can and should open up to foreign collaborations, come in contact with the top professionals of the international market. Fashion, is one of the most important industries worldwide, that further to the business deals can also upgrade the local tourism for the city where it is hosted, through the participating professionals and foreign Media coverage.

The 4th International Fashion Week, Athens Xclusive Designers Week has been completed with great success from November 8-11 at the Conference Center of Ethniki Asfalistiki presenting the new collections of Greek and foreign Fashion Designers (Penelope Zagoras, Gaspard Yurkievich, Notis Panayiotou and Marina Zachou, Fatima Lopes, Emanuel Ungaro and many others).
airyTales", the student artists of Vakalo Design School celebrating its 50 years of presence- that were inspired by the "Pink Ribbon" and designed T-shirts in a unique way and finally, the Samsung Pink Ribbon Charity Gala Dinner, an Xclusive Gala that managed to raise a significant amount of money for the purposes of the pan-Hellenic Association of Women that work for the information and prevention of breast cancer, "ALMA ZOIS". The New Designers Awards Institution was another important moment for the participating new talents' career and future. This year's winners were: Marina Avdeeva (Best Designer), Maria Daskalakis (Best Catwalk / Best Trendsetter Young Award).
